Greetings from Eastern Long Island, where record breaking heat has sent us taking shelter inside! We've been working in our new air conditioned Quilter's Paradise barn, and we are thankful to have this new place with AC!! We know the heat and economy have gotten some of you down in the dumps, so we decided to brighten your summer days with a SIZZLING HOT SPECIAL each weekday through July! ,Pictured here is our new exclusive Garden Party Take Four Quilt! Using the Take Four Pattern by Bloomin' Workshop and the beautiful Garden Party fabrics by Blackbird designs, Pam created this beautiful quilt. Cool off a bit by thinking about soft muted fall colors. The finished size is 56" x 72.
The August 2010 issue of the American Patchwork Quilting Magazine features the Garden Party Linked Together Quilt. The COOL thing about this quilt is that it uses jelly rolls, so you're starting with pre-cut 2 1/2" strips. That means easy breezy cutting because the jelly rolls have most of the work done for you, and more time at the sewing machine with the AC or fan on, right?! Yeah! We have the kits ready to send out so grab them while you can!
The September 2010 issue of The Quilter magazine features the Pretty Pansies Quilt using the Pretty Face Quest For the Cure Collection by Ro Gregg for Northcott. We love using these fabrics because of their support for Breast Cancer Research. This one features those rich violet and yellow pansies in the snowball blocks...very summery colors and the fabrics do the work for you.
From our own Lisa Byers of Momma Said Sew Studio, we now have our exclusive, My Baby Love Quilt kits in Crib, Throw and Twin Sizes! Using fabrics from Susan Branch's Baby Love Collection for RJR, Lisa created this gorgeous yellow and blue nautical quilt, and due to customer requests we now have kits for a crib, throw or twin sized quilt! Sweet for the little sailors in your life, and wonderful on a cottage bed.
